Lucy came to us from New Vocations in the summer of 2023, about the same time baby Rosie was born. She had a successful racing career and retired sound. We gave her weeks off to come down from track life and started her on round pen ground work like we do all our OTTBs. She is smart, brave, and full of drive.
She spent her first year slowly working up here at LRF (admittedly a bit on the back burner) then spent the 2024/25 winter training at Hebets Miller Eventing.

She is looking for her next home as a jumper with a confident rider who can keep up with, and tactfully temper, her need for speed.

Lucy is built more like an Irish TB than an American one, she had bone and barrel to take up leg and she has the BEST feet. She's been happy and barefoot for over two years while we've had her. We did discover she has Lymes, so an occasional round of Doxy could be required as needed when symptoms flare up, or simply a regular schedule of doses.
